June 5, 2010: The Times-News published an article about OFT-21 Precinct Committeeman Gregory Nemitz. Mr. Nemitz was elected to that position in the primary election on May 25, 2010. The article begins with, "A Twin Falls County Republican committeeman is asking for the resignation of the party’s county chairwoman and for Wednesday’s organization meeting to be voided because of what he said is an illegal appointment that shifted the entire outcome of the meeting." On June 4, 2010, Nemitz filed a formal grievance with the Twin Falls County Elections Director, Larry Haycock. The Letter of Grievance is posted here. [ .pdf file, 2.9 Mb ]

March 20, 2010: Gregory Nemitz filed yesterday to run in the May 25th primary election, seeking the position of Precinct Committeeman for Twin Falls County precinct OTF-21. When asked why he is in the race, Nemitz stated, "When you vote to replace the incumbent in your Twin Falls Precinct, your candidate will be in a powerful position to effect change at the county and state level from WITHIN the Republican Party!" Our motto: "Don't fight city hall, become city hall."
PLEASE
REMEMBER TO VOTE IN Remember one crucially important thing about politics in Idaho. Nearly every political position will be decided in the May Primary Election, not at the November General Election. This is because most of Idaho is conservative and Republican, and the Democrats are not strong here. The result of that is, since you want to be an effective voter, you must turn out and vote in primary elections. Please remember to vote, your country and Idaho needs you.
